Flipbooks are those little books that show a movie in your hands when you flip the pages. Flipbooks have been around for well over a century, and evolved from devices with weird names like thaumatropes and zoetropes. These brilliant innovations created the illusion of movement on a viewing surface. Flipbooks are indeed the original "motion pictures."

Fliptomania artists create some of the most unusual, sophisticated flipbooks ever made. We use an array of elements and styles - hand-drawn animation, 3-D animation, film, photography and cultural icons. We create original film footage and use classic footage, too. Most importantly, we combine it all with our unique artistic sensibility.

In business over 10 years, Fliptomania's flipbooks and flipbook kits can be found in shops around the world. We've also created unique custom flipbooks for a variety of corporations and advertising/marketing firms.

Mark Weissberg, founder of Fliptomania, spent the early part of his career as an independent filmmaker during which time he developed a passion for documentaries and time-lapse cinematography. His work has appeared on PBS, as well as in award-winning independent films. His life-long fascination with the moving image, coupled with his belief that "less is more", insures that Fliptomania will be creating unique flip books for years to come, taking this unique art form to new creative heights.
